We’re getting everyone together for our first ever Summer BBQ – fancy joining us?

Whether you’re straight or gay, in your early 20s, or over 60, you’re sure to enjoy this fun & relaxed social, where the conversations are as diverse as the people you’ll meet. We love how many friendships have developed as a result of our all-age events.

Join us at Brewhouse & Kitchen for summer vibes, great music, and a bloody lovely afternoon.

Please note that when you book, we ask you to select the age range and sexual orientation that best describes you. This is to help us with our marketing efforts to attract the right people to the event.

 

Your Ticket Includes:

  • Entrance to the event
  • One Welcome Drink (served between 1-1.30pm)

Live Music

We’re treating your ears to live music by the fabulous vocalist, Frank Power. If you’ve not seen him gigging around the Midlands yet, you’ve missed out – until now! You can expect to hear lots of well known tunes from across the decades.

 

BBQ

Your ticket includes one item from the BBQ menu. Typical options might include:

B&K Double Cheeseburger
Two beef patties with craft beer cheese sauce, Cheddar cheese, dill pickle and B&K burger sauce

B&K Smoky Bacon Cheeseburger
Two beef patties, crispy smoked bacon, with craft beer cheese sauce, Cheddar cheese, dill pickle and B&K burger sauce

Grilled Chicken Burger
Lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise

B&K Plant Burger
Sustainably farmed soya patty, served with applewood smoked cheese, Beer-B-Cue braised onions and vegan mayo

Beer-B-Cue Chicken Skewers
3x grilled chicken breast skewers coated in our Beer-B-Cue sauce

All of the above will be served with Buttered Corn Cob, Tortilla Chips & Fresh Salsa, and Side Salad

More about Single & Mingle

I have never done anything like this before and to be honest, was extremely hesitant. I went with a friend but lots of people were there alone and it was a really great night. We didn't have expectations to meet 'the one', we just wanted to have a fun night and that's exactly what we did! Talked to some amazing people, had some drinks and felt super comfortable and at ease the whole time. The hosts were fab and welcoming.

I enjoyed meeting a new group of people. Single & Mingle events are well organised and very friendly.

So at first I wasn't struck on Single and Mingle because I expected around 200 people, but there was only 20! As the night wore on I saw Jenga on the table so started playing it with a few others. It had questions on the bricks like 'what's your ideal first date?' etc. I started talking to someone, got on really well and we're going on a date next week :) I've been to a few different events and never really met anyone.

I treat Single and Mingle as a good value night out where I can meet people whom I would otherwise never meet. There is generally a relaxed atmosphere with the safe knowledge that the attendees are single and wanting to meet other singles, certainly without the 'wild west' nature of dating apps. I would say you should attend several events without high expectations to get the flavour and used to the feel in general. I have been attending for well over a year and look forward to each outing. Give it a whirl!

Loved meeting people face to face and being able to read people’s body language. Something you can't do online!

Really good event, perfectly run. Did what it said on the tin... single and mingle. No worrying about trying to sell yourself in 3 minutes etc.

I always have a really great time at a Single & Mingle event, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly and everyone that attends is very approachable so it's a great way to get back into the dating world or make new friends.

I can't tell you how much I've broadened my social circle since attending Single & Mingle events. And for that I'm so grateful.

Single & Mingle do not do speed dating events – we’re different!

We’ve created a pressure-free social for up to 40 people, where you can chat to as many people as you like, for as long as you like. 

The emphasis is very much on broadening your social circle, rather than feeling the pressure to meet your match.

Our informal singles events are about spending less time on dating apps and more time with real people in real life.

Format of our events

We are a relaxed mixer for up to 40 people, that allows you to mingle at your own pace. There’s no forced fun, rigid structure or set format – simply turn up and get mingling!

We are not a speed dating event! 

Everyone at our events is single, so get chatting, have fun, and enjoy getting to know new people. And remember, some people will be feeling a little nervous, so please be mindful of this.

Connection request service

We don’t want you to feel any pressure to ask for people’s details.

That’s why we have our fuss-free post-event connection request service. 

The day after an event, we’ll send you an email with a link to a form. Simply fill it out and include the name of the person you’d like us to try and connect you with and a little message, and we’ll pass it on for you.

It’s then up to that person whether they get back to you or not.

Tickets & Bookings

Pre-booking is advised

Limited early bird tickets are available up to two weeks before an event – but when they’re gone, they’re gone.

As event organisers, we really appreciate early bookings so we can manage numbers and the expectations of our fabulous hosts and venue partners.

On-the-door tickets

A small number of tickets might be available on-the-door. We invite you to contact us on the morning of an event to check as we’d hate for you to turn up and there not be any tickets left.

On-the-door payments can be made in cash or via a QR payment link.

 

No-shows

Nobody likes a no-show! If you’ve committed to come along, please do, but we understand that things come up last minute.

How to get the most out of an event

Think of our events as a way to broaden your social circle generally, not just to find love. Some incredible friendships have been formed as a result of our events.

  • Get involved - you'll get out what you put in
  • Talk to as many people as you can, whether they're your type or not
  • Come with an open mind and an open heart
  • Split off from your friends or you risk not mingling with new people
  • Try not to sit for too long, or stand with your back to the room
  • Speak with your host if you'd like any introductions
  • Utilise any available ice breakers or conversation-starters
  • Don't measure the success of the event by whether you fancied anyone or not - taste and preferences are very subjective ;-)
  • Keep your eye on your drink - you're with people you don't know!

Social etiquette rules

Our events attract kind, friendly, and approachable people. However, if anyone is seen to be breaking any of our social etiquette rules, they will be asked to leave, without a refund, and will not be allowed back!

  • Do be nice
  • Do be kind
  • Do be considerate of others
  • Don't hog one person all night - let others socialise with them too
  • Don't assume someone is interested in you romantically because they're talking to you
  • Don't assume that someone wants a kiss on the cheek (or more)
  • Don't be rude
  • Don't be a dick!
  • And most importantly - if someone says no - they mean NO
